Silent Usher is a messaging platform that couples and wedding planners use to send timed communications — invitations, logistics, RSVP reminders, and thank-you messages — to their wedding guests by SMS, email, and WhatsApp. This notice explains how we handle a guest’s information when a couple or planner uses Silent Usher to contact them.
Messages are sent on behalf of the couple or wedding planner who added you as a guest — they choose what is sent and when. Silent Usher is the platform that delivers those messages and stores the information needed to do so securely.
This information is provided by the couple or planner, or by you directly if you respond to an RSVP or opt-in request. Phone numbers and email addresses are encrypted at rest.
To deliver the wedding communications the couple or planner has scheduled, to record your RSVP response and any dietary requirements you share, and to respect your opt-out or opt-in choices for each channel.
Guest information is automatically deleted or anonymised no later than 30 days after the wedding date. You can also ask the couple or planner to remove your details sooner — see “Your rights” below.
The couple or planner who invited you controls your guest information and is the right person to contact if you’d like a copy of what’s held about you, or to have it deleted before the automatic 30-day removal.
